BrantBorn 6/17/72 and raised in Winston-Salem, NC. Went to Mount Tabor High School where he graduated in 1990.
Went on to run at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. Brunt was All ACC in Cross Country twice

10, calf hurt again.

O, left calf still a mess.  2 swims, 2 bikes, 2 weights.

3 miles  Have resorted to the calf sleeve

Week 5
9 miles this week, all on treadmill in calf sleeve.  Getting better.

Week 6
15.5 miles.  All on treadmill wearing calf sleeve.  Getting better.

Week 7
17.5 miles.  All on treadmill in calf sleeve.

Week 8
20.5.  Finally had a run without the calf sleeve.  No problems other than heavy breathing....

Monday - 4 easy around Tanglewood.  1.5 hours of full-court basketball at night.
18.5 for the week.  Tired on the weekend, back very tight.

29 miles.  Best week since RTB.  Tried to workout on Sunday, left knee continuing to bother me.

Sunday – 7 easy from Wake.  Did not feel well.

Monday – off, not feeling well.
Tuesday – 5 steady around the Gardens, felt allright.
Wednesday – 5.5 with the kids.  Easy, but felt tired.
Friday - 6.5 moderate with the kids.  Felt good.  Much cooler.
Saturday – 5 total.  2 WU, 6 * Deacon Blvd. (46, 46, 44, 45, 45, 44), 1 WD.  Have to start somewhere.
Sunday – 9 steady.  Felt good until around 55 minutes.

Week 28
Tuesday – 5.5 steady around Hobby Park.  Very hilly, rocky.
Wednesday – 6.5 moderate with the kids.  Fast last mile.
Friday – 5.5 with the kids during a hash run.  Hard, tired.
Saturday – 5.5 moderate in Atlanta.

Week 29
Monday – 6 very hilly run with the kids.
Wednesday - 5.5 with the kids.  Easy first part, rolling at the end.  Much work to be done.
Friday - 6 steady with the kids.  Hash run.  Very tired at the end.
Saturday – 3 steady on the treadmill.  Crazy day.
Sunday – 10 steady from Wake.  Hot and humid.  Felt good until around an 1:00.

Week 30
Monday – off
Tuesday – 5 easy cutdown on the treadmill
Wednesday – off traveling
Thursday – 6 steady in Rockford with Jeff.  Ran up to the ski slopes at Pando.
Friday – 5.5 steady around Silver Lake.
Saturday – off
Sunday – 10 around the lake, down bike trail and back with Betsy.  Averaged 7:15-7:20.  Felt decent.

Week 31
Monday – off, travel
Tuesday – 5.5 easy on trails in Cadillac, MI with Joe.
Wednesday – off, travel
Thursday – 5.5 moderate around Tanglewood.  Very hot, didn’t feel well.
Friday – 5.5 miles in hash run with high schoolers.  Still tired.
Saturday - 6 total – 2 WU, 9 * Deacon Blvd. in 44-45, 1 WD.  Still tired, but good workout
Sunday - Off

Week 32
Monday - 7 moderate around Wake.  Felt decent.
Tuesday - 6 easy around Tanglewood.  Very hot, tired.
Friday  - 5 total around gardens/gralyn/bv  1 wu. 2.5 uptempo 6:30, 6:10, 3:04  1.5 Wd very hot
Sat - 10 total 3 at 6:40 1 at 6:30 felt good
Sunday - 5 moderate with Craig at Salem Lake.  Legs tired, last three miles low 6:50’s

Week 33
Monday - 6 easy around Tanglewood with 3 15 second pickups.  Very hot, tired
Wednesday - 5 total.  2 WU 6 * Deacon Blvd. (44,45,45,44,44,43), 1 WD.  Very hot.  Legs tired
Thursday – 6 easy on the treadmill
Friday – 10 with Bill Gibbs (most of 3 mountain madness)  15 minutes relatively hard up Buena, around behind St. Leo’s, Reynolds, down B.V., ¼ up Robinhood.
Another steady effort up Reynolda.  Solid run, tired.
Sat - off
Sun - 4 steady at the beach. Hot

Monday – off
Tuesday  - 6 around Gardens, Graylyn.  (7:32/6:36/5:48/6:49/6:29/7:36).  Slightly cooler but muggy.  Felt allright, not great
Wednesday – 6 easy at Tanglewood with 4 15 second pick-ups.
Thursday – 6.5 early in the morning at Salem Lake (7:40/6:42/6:25/6:12/7:29/6:14 easy ½ mile.  Felt allright.
Friday – off
Saturday – 6 easy around the Gardens with 2 15 second pick-ups.
Sunday – 10 easy at Salem Lake with Craig and Arron.  Didn’t feel great

Week 35
Monday – short bike ride, shot some hoops.
Tuesday – 6 total at Muddy Creek Greenway.  2 WU, 6 * 400 with 200 jog (73, 78, 75, 74, 73, 74), 1.75 WD.  Baby steps.
Weds. - 6 easy around Tanglewood.  Quads and hamstrings sore.
Thursday - 6  moderate around the Gardens/Gralyn.  Cooler weather, legs still sore.  3:10 last half to get legs going a little bit
Friday - tempo at Salem Lake, hot in the afternoon.  6 miles total 7:06/6:11/6:09/6:07, 2 easy.  Definitely more relaxed at that pace.
Saturday - off, playing golf.
Sunday - 10 steady from Bill Gibbs house.  Finally getting some decent endurance, ran the last 5 miles at 6:35-6:40 pace

Week 36
Monday - 6 easy around Tanglewood, followed by some strides.  Left Achilles and right hip still bothersome
Tuesday - 5.5 total on the Greenway (2 WU, 6 * 400 in 79 with a 200 jog, 1 WD).  Legs dead, very hot.  Need a couple days off
Wednesday – easy bike ride
Thursday – easy bike ride
Friday – 6 easy at Tanglewood
Saturday – 6 moderate around the Gardens.  A few miles at 6:45 pace, still not right.
Sunday – easy bike ride

Week 37
Monday – 10 moderate, felt slightly better.
Tuesday - 6 easy around the Gardens.  Legs still tired
Wednesday – 4 easy on the treadmill.
Thursday – off, traveling home.
Friday - 6 easy around the Gardens, with 4 15 second pickups and a 2:43 last half.  Breathing slightly labored, but legs felt much better.
Saturday - 6 total.  2 WU, 1 WD.  4800 meters on the Muddy Creek Greenway 5:44/5:39/5:36.  Definitely hard, but legs felt good.
Sunday - 3.5 easy in the Wake Trails.  Quads thrashed

Week 38
Monday – off
Tuesday – 6 at Salem Lake.  Ran a mile in 5:20, didn’t feel great.
Wednesday – 3 easy in Boston.
Thursday – off
Friday – 4 at RTB.  2.9 mile downhill leg in 14:37.  Cratered.
Saturday – last two legs at RTB – 12 miles total at about 6:30 pace.  Very hilly, legs dead.
