Monday - Ran 6 miles at 6:40 pace pushing Ben. Longest run
of the year. Left foot bothering me.
Thurs. - 6 miles at Bethabara - easy in the driving rain.
Left foot better but right knee hurting at the end.
Friday - 4.5 in 30:15 with Fry Daddy. Sub-6:00 at the end.
Felt good.
Saturday - 3.5 in Wake Trails at 6:20-6:30 pace.
Sunday - 7 miles at Wake with Phillips - 6:20 pace. Hauling
at the end. Felt okay except for right knee pain. Longest run
of the year.
Week 22
Monday 7.5 in 51 minutes. 2-3 hard with Phillips. Dull
pain in right knee, otherwise felt okay.
Tues. - Ran 4 easy with Fry Daddy - right knee pain but foot better.
Weds. - 4 at 6:40 pace at Bethabara. Felt good except for
right knee pain which forced me to stop
thursday - Ran 3 miles easy - knee better but still hurting.
Ran 4 miles easy with Russell on Sunday, Off Fri. and Sat

Ran 4.5 miles in the Wake trails at 6:20 pace. Right knee
still bothering me.
Tues. 6.5 at 6:20 pace. Knee better but was having some GI
problems. Squats and leg extensions appear to be paying off, although
legs were extremely sore and tired.
Thursday - Ran 4 miles steady at Bethabara. Right knee pain, not
excruciating.
Friday - 3 at 6:20 pace in Wake Trails, right knee pain.
Saturday - 5 at 6:40 pace at Wake, felt good except for excruciating
knee pain, may have to start medicating.
Ran 7.5 at 6:20 pace in the Wake Trails. Felt good until 5,
struggled after that. Knee slightly better. Best week of the year.

Mon. - Ran 4.5 easy (6:50 pace) with Fry Daddy. Legs sore.
Tues. - Ran 6 miles at 6:30 pace with Craig, right knee really hurting.
Pace felt fine.
Weds. - Ran 4.5 at 6:20-6:30 pace with Kurt Seeber. Legs felt much
better, although starting to get hot and was a little tired the last mile
or so

Friday - 6.5 total - 6 at 6:15 pace with Phillips .5 WD easy.
Sharp pain in right knee forced me to stop
Saturday - 5.5 easy with Betsy, right knee pain.
Sunday - 4 at 6:10-6:15 pace, felt good, .5 WD - right knee really
hurting.

Monday - A.M. 3 steady with Matt Hamrick followed by weight exercises.
Noon - Ran 5 miles steady with Kurt at lunch. Legs felt okay
but definitely sore
Tuesday - 5 easy at Bethabara (6:40 pace). Whole body sore,
right knee felt okay.
Wednesday - A.M. 3 pretty hard with Matt Hamrick followed by weighted
jump rope sets.
PM 5 at Lunch with Kurt (probably averaged 6:15 with a fast last mile)
felt really good except
for residual body soreness
Thursday - 4.5 at 6:35 pace with Kurt. Last mile under 6:00 but
legs definitely tired
Friday - Legs trashed so ran dirt slow for 3.5 miles followed by
strides.

P.M. 6.5 steady(6:30 pace) on 10K loop, last mile timed in 6:20.

Thursday 4.5 with Kurt at 6:40 pace. Legs pretty
good, a little tired. Very hot.

Felt awkward, heavy breathing
Tuesday - 4 steady followed by strides. knees bothering me.
Wednesday - 5.5 steady in a downpour. Knees sore, hamstrings
tight.
Thursday - 3 very easy at 7:30 pace. Strained something during
yesterday's run.
Friday - 8 steady with Dave Barrett from Wake - very hot and ran
during the middle of the day. Legs better but hurting last mile or
so.
Saturday - 3.5 easy, legs tired.
Sunday - 10.5 at Salem Lake, averaged 6:35 pace, felt good until
last two miles. Longest run of the year.

Monday Ran 4.5 at 6:50 pace with Kurt. Legs tired.
Tuesday - Ran 6 miles with Kurt at lunch. Over 90 degrees,
very hot, felt like crap.

Thursday - 1 WU, 5 mile race - the Bear
Friday - 6.5 easy from Wake, felt better than I thought I would.
Saturday - 6 easy in the Wake Trails, legs beat.
Sunday - 8 steady at Reynolda Gardens, felt decent.

Monday - a.m. - 4 easy.
PM - 5.5 steady at lunch with Kurt, felt decent, right knee a little
weak.
Tuesday - Ran 8 miles steady with the guys at Wake. Pace picked
up in the end, got dropped on Bio and jogged in a 6:25 last mile.
Right ankle pain, random.
Weds. - Only ran 3 miles easy, having a lot of ankle pain.
Thurs. - 8 miles steady with the Wake guys, cranking at the end,
did not get dropped. Ankle slightly better.
Friday - 4 easy, legs trashed.
Saturday - 3.5 easy, had to stop because of right knee pain.
Sunday - 4 steady with circuits - tried to mix it up, but still
had right knee pain.

Sunday - 3 hammering at Va. Beach, felt good except for the heat.

Tuesday - 4.5 steady with Kurt. Could still feel knee but
much better.
Weds. - I got caught in the Fry Daddy vortex on today's run, with
an all-time low of 28:14 for our 4.5 mile lunch loop. Fearing the
vapor trail of hot cooking oil, I stayed near the front, resulting in a
5:20-5:30 last mile after hammering Buena
Thursday - Shack 7 at 6:35 pace. Tired but legs felt decent.
Friday -off
Saturday - 4 at 6:10 pace at Wake, felt really good. Did strides
after, 16,15,14.
Sunday - Easy 7 at Salem Lake. Legs tight, knees a little sore.

Tuesday - 6 easy, knee pain.

Thursday - 8 steady, knee pain. Did strides after - 16, 15,
13. 13 made by knee instantly feel better. Random
Friday - 1 WU, 2 miles at 5:40 pace at Bethabara, 1/2 WD.
Was in a driving rain storm. Felt sluggish but better than the last
time.
Saturday - 3 easy at the TCTC Poker Run.
Sunday - 10.5 at Salem Lake 6:45-6:50 pace. Pace felt very
easy but right knee hurting

Did not get dropped on Bio hill.
4.5 steady with Kurt at lunch. Tired.
thurs. - 4.5 easy-medium with Fry Daddy at lunch. Hot and humid.
Friday - 3 easy, felt good.
Saturday - 1 WU, .5 WD. 2 on the track 5:37/5:31 - 11:08.
Very hot but felt in control the whole way,
breathing heavy.

Tuesday - 5 miles at 6:20 pace with four 100 meter sprints in the
last mile. Felt very hard
Weds. - Ran 8 steady in Reynolda Gardens. Knees creaking in
the end but otherwise felt pretty good.
thursday - Ran 5 easy at Bethabara with some sprints in the last
mile. Felt off running,
like one leg is shorter than the other. Feel much better running
fast.

Saturday - 1 WU, .5 WD - 600 in 1:50, jog lap 600 in 1:52 jog lap
400 in 74.
1.5 miles in 8:36. Off, not recovering.
Sunday - 7 at Salem Lake in 47:12. Did not feel good.

Tuesday - 6 steady at Reynolda Gardens with 7 15 second sprints
thrown in.
Weds. - 8 at 6:30 pace at Bethabara. Felt decent until the
last mile or so. Right
knee pain, random neck pain.
Thursday - 6 easy in the Wake trails - legs felt tired. Outside
of left calf, tight.
Friday - 2.5 WU, was going to workout, ran 2:50 of 1st mile and
had to stop because of calf tightness and pain, jogged back home.

Sunday - Ran 12 miles of the Chicago marathon with Espo at 7:50-8:00
pace. Calf got better after about 8 miles but was still incredibly tight
and sore. Nice easy run to experience with marathon.

Felt okay except for GI problems.
